About Our Organization

Our affordable housing program promotes sustainable paths to home ownership that are sensitive to protecting the interests of long-term legacy residents. Our workforce development program works with community partners to connect residents with jobs in high-growth sectors, supports wages and training, and provides full wrap around services to holistically help residents gain greater economic mobility.

Community Engagement

We work with community leaders and organizations in South Melbourne to help accelerate the goals and initiatives of the community.

Workforce Development

We host an annual recruitment fair connecting residents in South Melbourne with quality jobs in high-growth industries such as construction trades and manufacturing. We support half of a candidates hourly wages for on-the-job training and provide full wrap around services to help address barriers that may prevent someone from being successful in the workplace such as housing and transportation.

Pathways to Homeownership

We build sustainable, safe, and dignified homes to increase pathways to homeownership for South Melbourne Residents. We do this through a rent-to-own program, providing residents the time and support they need to become homeowners.

Community Partners

We take a collective impact approach to community engagement. We believe neighborhoods are the unit of change and communities are strongest when there is a collaborated and are collaborative, coordinated efforts between public and private organizations to maximize resources to improve the lives of individuals.

Workforce Development

Our workforce development program connects individuals in South Melbourne with vetted employers in high-growth industries such as additive manufacturing and construction. Our goal is to help individuals work through any barriers that might prevent them from maintaining a full-time job. This includes equipping candidates with the tools they need to be successful on the job site, their 10-Hour OSHA training, navigating transportation and legal issues, housing, and more. We take an individualized approach to helping individuals obtain economic mobility and put them on pathways in fields where the earning potential is over $20 an hour.
